If you like action on the water, Terhills Cablepark is the right place for you. You can water-ski, wakeboard and kneeboard. Beginners can learn the tricks of the trade from an experienced instructor. People who are advanced in water sports can live it up freely on the lake and the obstacles. There are even challenges for the real pros.

Get muddy at the Campine plateau

Hoge Kempen National Park is perfect for mountain biking. Beginners and more experienced mountain bikers will enjoy shorter and longer routes through woods and heathland. In total, the unmetalled paths are about 150 km. Good to know: Maasmechelen is located in the transition area between the valley of the river Meuse and the Campine plateau. Stiff climbs and steep descents are guaranteed.

Have an outdoor puzzle adventure

This summer, you can combine puzzle fun and the mystery of an escape room with an adventurous cycling trip with friends, family, colleagues or a bachelor/bachelorette group during the Insane Game 2022. Via the motto ‘Maasland Madness’, you will complete challenges on several locations and play the final game at Leut’s Castle.

The cycling trip is about 30 km. You can cover it with your team at your own pace and stop along the way for a picnic or lunch at a cosy terrace. You can bring your own bicycle or rent one at Visit Maasmechelen.

Conquer the rapids of the river Meuse

No, you don’t have to go all the way to the Ardennes to kayak. On the wide, meandering river Meuse you can paddle on the border between Belgium and the Netherlands and enjoy nature from a unique perspective.
