The Valley of the Kikbeekbron (Kikbeek source) is a nature reserve of 120 ha in and around a former sand and gravel pit at Maasmechelen, where seepage provides a pond with water. That pond then feeds the Kikbeekbron, which flows into the river Meuse. The valley is part of the hiking area Hoge Kempen National Park – Mechelse Heide.
